In his time as health minister, Jeremy Hunt has managed to visit just two hospitals – meanwhile, he wants to close nine A&Es across London and privatise massive chunks of our NHS. Since he clearly isn’t interested in hearing the opinions of healthworkers and patients, we’ve decided that we should take our anti-cuts and anti-privatisation message to his constituents in Farnham, Surrey.
Next Saturday (15th June), Keep Our NHS Public and Unite the Union will be teaming up to organise a day of family-friendly activities in Farnham to tell Hunt’s local constituents about what he’s doing to their NHS. There’ll be street theatre, leafletings and a march to the local Conservative Association – and the national news media have decided to cover the event as well! We’re expecting hundreds of health campaigners, healthworkers, patients and families to converge on Hunt’s constituency.
There’ll be a coach to and from the event from Kingston. It leaves at 9.45 from Kingston University, Penrhyn Road KT1 2EE.
Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’re interested in coming and we can arrange for you to get a seat on the coach.
